On January 18th, we had the honor and privilege of initiating our first candidates of 2017. Evergreen is proud to welcome into our fraternity Bros. Caulder and Wil- liams. Called From Labor I regret to inform you of the passing of Brother Clyde Ross, Jr. on October 11th, 2016 at the age of 84 years and 9 days. Brother Clyde who petitioned our Lodge in May of 1968, was Raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason on February 8th, 1969 in Catalina Island Lodge, No. 524, in Avalon and was a member in good standing for the past 47 years. Ted Hammond received the high honor of the Hiram Award on June 15 after a prime rib dinner at Evergreen Lodge in Riverside. Bro. Hammond had at least 60 attend the event . Former recipients of the Award , Vic Ropac, John Channon , and Howard Born gave various parts of the presentation followed by acting Master , Tom Philp presenting the award. Yes, it is true. We have been working with the state DMV to bring Masonic license plates to all who qualify in our great state of California. Our then AGL, WOR. Frank Lee gave us the approval to start this project in 2010. Our current AGL has given his approval and with the assistance of PGM Wor. Russ Charvonia, myself and Wor. Michael Sekera has been meeting with the proper authorities to proceed with this endeavor. Yes, we have had several “hoops” to get through, but we are preserving to bring this to fruition.
