 The D8 Today team interviewed several actors from the “Seniors on Stage”, which is presenting a Vegas style variety show for San Jacinto Lodge #338, and they expect to have over 200 in the attendance. They met and interviewed “Larry the cable guy” who is portrayed by Jack Aten and several other actors and even met the Producer/ Director. Several other portrayals are scheduled to be on stage at this event, which will last about one and a half to two hours long. Masons in Rolling Thunder

    Memorial Day  -  over 7,000 bikers rolled from Indiana Ave in Riverside , up Arlington Ave,  and  Alessandro and Van Buren to Rliverside National Cemetery for the  memorial to our veterans .  Among them  were  several avid Mason  bikers. These  bikers  ranged  from the  big Harleys to some little bikes.  Some were even 3 wheel. They  all paid an  entry  fee and  entertained  thousands lining the streets all  the way  to Riverside National.  It all began at  9:11 AM  (obvious significance there) and  it  took well over an hour  for them  all  to roll out and  eventually  ararive …

    Ontario Masonic Lodge No. 301, in Ontario, California, has a long standing tradition of support for the schools in our community.  Many years ago, the Vina Danks Middle school, located across the street from the Lodge had outgrown it’s auditorium facility and Ontario Lodge stepped up to offer our facility to host their awards events.     San Dimas Lodge #428 held their fourth annual Festive Board of Fellowship on Saturday May 26, 2012. Those in attendance traveled back to the “Tun Tavern” in Pennsylvania, on June 18, 1731 to emulate the jolly and humorous atmosphere the Brother’s and friends would have shared with one another at a Table Lodge. Each course, of the seven course gourmet meal was preceded by a toast and a song.  The participants’ singing was enhanced by the beautiful accompaniment on the piano by the Grand Organist, Stephen Miller, who is also a member of San Dimas Lodge. Loma Linda VA Hospital BBQ With Grand Master of Masons In California

BBQ at the VA Hospital in Loma Linda On Saturday, May 26, 2012 Moreno Valley Lodge #804, had their 13th annual BBQ at the VA Hospital at Loma Linda. This year all three Lodges of the 818th Masonic District, Redlands Lodge #300, Fellowship Lodge #668 and Moreno Valley Lodge #804 participated, along with the Jobs Daughters Bethel and the DeMolay Chapter from Moreno Valley.  There were booths with Civil War re-enactment actors and even a band in full Civil War uniforms.  Three service therapy dogs, that were originally rescued and trained by Moreno Valley Lodge member Johne Johnson, also joined…

The day began with the Grand Lodge officers, the officers of Temecula-Catalina Island Lodge, their families and guests socializing at the Lodge. Yucaipa Fellowship Lodge and High Twelve Club at Iris Festival

  Yucaipa Fellowship Lodge #668 with the help of the San Gorgonio  and Yucaipa High Twelve Clubs tried their hand for the first time at  conducting a child id booth at the Yucaipa Iris Festival on May 18-20.   The clubs and the lodge mustered enough volunteer help to cover the 22 hours  over the three days.  In addition to the Masons, the Rainbow Girls,  DeMolay, and the Eastern Star also participated.  Less than 200 children  were id’ed, but that did not dampen the enthusiasm of everyone involved and  their hope to do it again. Cornerstone At Barstow Community Hospital

  On April 4, 2012, the Barstow Boron Lodge # 682 hosted the Grand Lodge of the State of California for a Cornerstone ceremony for the new Barstow Community Hospital.  This was the culmination of two years of hard work and coordination for this auspicious event.  Grand Lodge opened at 10:00 AM and allowed the public in at 10:45, where the Grand Master and the Barstow Master provided updates on the happenings of their respective organizations.  The Barstow Boron Lodge presented the Grand Master with a gavel and sounding block made out of desert mesquite, which was hand made by…

Since 1920 in April, Masons throughout California, through a variety of programs, celebrate the accomplishments of those in public education. The evening of April 24, 2012 brethren and guests gathered at Temescal Palms Lodge #314 in Corona to honor the accomplishments of seven exemplary students, four teachers-of-the-year, and six exemplary adult employees of the Corona-Norco Unified School District. District 806 Masons at Edwin Rhodes School Fair

On April 27, 2012 Edwin Rhodes Elementary School in Chino, held its’ annual school fair. In a true show of Brotherly love and unity, Chino Valley Lodge was joined with Brothers from Ontario and Upland/Mt. Baldy Lodges to man a Child I.D. booth.  This program provides a document with a picture of the child, a thumbprint and space for the parent to fill in valuable information, which can be used in case of abduction.
