Henley Born: Sept. 29, 1929Entered into rest: Oct. 15, 2015 His many life experiences included watching the bombing of Pearl Harbor, seeing the world and being shipwrecked off Guadalcanal as a Merchant Mariner with the Coast Guard, served in Korea with the Army. Became firefighter, then Fire Chief, an EMT,a pyro technician, He taught first aid, CPR and fire science. He and his family raised puppies for Guide Dogs of the Desert. What is Rainbow and who are they? The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is a non-profit service organization for girls between the ages of 11 and 20. Rev. W. Mark Sexson founded our order in McAlester, Oklahoma in April of 1922. Rev. W Mark Sexson sought to develop an organization where young women could build self confidence and leadership skills, all while serving their community. The organization promotes community service, as well as love and service to their schools, their homes and to each other. Our order prepares the girls of today to be the leaders of tomorrow.…

Riverside Lodge 635  newest member Carlos Alvarez received  his Master Mason Degree. Steve Hale obligated, Gary Miller gave the lecture with the assitance of Evergreen Lodge 259 and Temescal Palms Lodge 314.

Worshipful Donald Eugene Clark Past Master entered into rest on September 1, 2015. A Memorial Service is planned at Oasis of Mara Lodge on October 6, 2015 at 7:00 pm. Those in attendance are asked to wear whitw shirts, black tie and black trousers. Don was a past Master, leader and active member of this lodge until his health no longer permitted him to attend. He recently celebrated his 50 Year anniversary as a Mason surrounded by brothers and friends. His contributions to his lodge and to the fraternity will be missed.
