The day began with the Grand Lodge officers, the officers of Temecula-Catalina Island Lodge, their families and guests socializing at the Lodge. At noon the Grand Lodge performed their Grand Lodge opening which was followed by a great lunch. The ceremony at the high school began with the entrance of the Masons and Grand Lodge officers. Yucaipa Fellowship Lodge and High Twelve Club at Iris Festival
Yucaipa Fellowship Lodge #668 with the help of the San Gorgonio and Yucaipa High Twelve Clubs tried their hand for the first time at conducting a child id booth at the Yucaipa Iris Festival on May 18-20. The clubs and the lodge mustered enough volunteer help to cover the 22 hours over the three days. In addition to the Masons, the Rainbow Girls, DeMolay, and the Eastern Star also participated. Cornerstone At Barstow Community Hospital
On April 4, 2012, the Barstow Boron Lodge # 682 hosted the Grand Lodge of the State of California for a Cornerstone ceremony for the new Barstow Community Hospital. This was the culmination of two years of hard work and coordination for this auspicious event. Grand Lodge opened at 10:00 AM and allowed the public in at 10:45, where the Grand Master and the Barstow Master provided updates on the happenings of their respective organizations. Corona Masons Celebrate Public Schools Month
The Grand Lodge of Masons in California continues to be a primary supporter of a free, public education for all children. Since 1920 in April, Masons throughout California, through a variety of programs, celebrate the accomplishments of those in public education. The evening of April 24, 2012 brethren and guests gathered at Temescal Palms Lodge #314 in Corona to honor the accomplishments of seven exemplary students, four teachers-of-the-year, and six exemplary adult employees of the Corona-Norco Unified School District. District 806 Masons at Edwin Rhodes School Fair
On April 27, 2012 Edwin Rhodes Elementary School in Chino, held its’ annual school fair. In a true show of Brotherly love and unity, Chino Valley Lodge was joined with Brothers from Ontario and Upland/Mt. Baldy Lodges to man a Child I.D. booth. This program provides a document with a picture of the child, a thumbprint and space for the parent to fill in valuable information, which can be used in case of abduction. DeMolay Fun Night At Moreno Valley Lodge
On Tuesday, April 24th, the Moreno Valley Chapter of DeMolay had a “Fun Night” at the Moreno Valley Lodge. Generally on the 4th Tuesday of the month, unless there is a degree, the Chapter puts aside ritual and business for light amusement and to just have fun. Everyone present enjoyed the evening with board games, computer games and pizza. They also played lawn games in the park area behind the Lodge. Division 8 Prayer Contest
Dear Worshipful Sir and Brothers all: “No great or important undertaking … .” Prayer undergirds all we do in Masonry. Every meeting opens and closes with an address to the Throne of Grace. So it will be on June 20th when Division 8 presents “Operation Raising a Reader,” Grand Master Louie’s project to enhance the reading skills of disadvantaged children. Blythe-Needles Lodge No. 473 Presents Appreciation Awards
On Wednesday April 4, 2012, Blythe/Needles Lodge #473 honored three instructors, for their dedication to education. Rosalie Ann Campa, Gretchen Nelson, and Opal Kemp have worked for the Riverside County office of Education for a combined total of over 65 years teaching Special Needs children. Both Rosalie and Gretchen are graduates of our local Palo Verde High School, who have stayed here to help our local children. Fellowship Lodge #668 Has Public School Event
On Tuesday, April 17, 2012, Fellowship Lodge #668, in Yucaipa, CA had a program honoring several students from the Yucaipa-Calimesa Unified School District. Students and principals from13 schools were represented. Each school chose one student to be recognized for their outstanding scholastic or personal achievements. This year’s program was very successful with over 180 people in attendance.

Redlands Lodge # 300 Presents Golden Veteran Award
April 16, 2012 Redlands Lodge #300 presented Worshipful Elmer Pfonner with his Golden Veteran Award. His son, Dwight Pfonner, who is also a Past Master of San Dimas lodge 428, is a Marine currently serving in Iraq. He took leave to come home to participate in this special ceremony for his father. Many members, friends, and over 50 family members attended the dinner and ceremony.
