Al Malaikah Shrine Circus April 5 – April 7,2013
The Shrine Circus is here, Friday April 5 though Sunday April 7. They are looking forward to a very successful Circus.They are adding some new rides, attractions, and food. Temescal Palms Lodge 314 Expanded Widow’s Program
 Temescal Palms Lodge has expanded it Widow’s program to include a personal visit to their homes. They will check on how they are doing and volunteer to help with any small projects they may need done. The first visit was on January 26, 2013 to Susan Skipper, widow of Dennis Skipper, at her home in Corona. She was very appreciative of the visit from the Lodge and they hope to get a work party together to repair some of her sprinklers. Temescal Palms Annual Sweethearts Dinner
On February 9, 2013, The Temescal Palms Masonic Lodge had its 117th Annual Valentines Sweetheart Dinner and Dance at the Lodge. The Worshipful Master’s Timelessly Lovely Wife, Kelly Padilla, who was the only person present who has attended all of the previous 116 Valentines Sweetheart Dance’s, has assured all that this by far was the best ever!!! This year the group was smaller, but the most fun people were in full attendance, and they were inspired by an out of this world menu. Riverside Lodge Presents Hiram Award To Richard Bonilla
Richard  Bonilla received the Hiram Award at a dinner and  program at Riverside Lodge on Feb. 21. After a roast beef dinner,the program  began with the escort of Bro.Bonill,  his wife Mary Jane, and sons.Wor. John Channon MCd the program with introductions  and a  story of the origin and meaning of the Hiram Award and Wor. Rick Emmons gave the  biography. Mackenzie Denholtz  presented  statements from all three sisters remembering Br. Bonilla's decade of service to the Jobs Daughters Bethel as Assoc. Evergreen Lodge 259 Sweethearts Night
Evergreen Lodge, in Riverside, hosted a dinner and Big Band entertainment for our sweethearts. Our special guests were 12 of our lodge widows who were presented roses. Approximately 50 attended the dinner prepared by Lynnette Channon consisting of rolls; chuck roast, fresh mashed potatoes, peas, gravy, and cheesecake. Chuck Scalf chaired the committee with Vic Ropac, John Channon, and Greg Covel assisting. Keith Downs helped the committee set the tables and serve along with our Jobs Daughters, Bethel 264. Jeremiah Bayer-Smith headed up the dishwashing. An all-day prep culminated in an excellent meal followed by an hour of great music in the lodge…

There are no words so great that can express the loss and despair we feel at the passing of our Brother, Worshipful Mark Sandstrom. Mark has given his talents and untold hours of service, not only to his church, our Fraternity, his Lodge but also to our Division. Mark always had a warm smile and a kind word to all he came in contact with. Riverside Scottish Rite Club Held Annual Installation
    The  Riverside Area Scottish Rite  Club  had their  annual  installation of officers  and  dinner  at  Flo's  restaurant on  Saturday,  Feb. 9, 2013.      Mel Tallon was the installing officer .  The  new officers  are : Lee Whelan,  President ;  Robert Gibb, Vice President ;   John Channon,  Secty/Treas;   and  Directors  Jim Mason, Rick Emmons  and  Jim  Scribner  were  present  to be installed. Riverside Lodge Presents 50 Year Pin To Brother James Stocks
Brother  James  Stocks  received  his  Golden Veteran (50 yr) Award  at  Riverside Lodge on Feb. 7,2013 .  His wife, Rosie had the honor of  pinning him.   Inspector, John Channon , officiated the ceremony with W.M. Steve Morrison and  Wor. Lee Cleveland  assisting. The  new, long-form,  ceremony was used  for the program which was  very appreciated by the  recipient, his wife , and the brethren and  families  present. Congratulations to Georgi Karakhanyan, Riverside Lodge No. 635’s newest Entered Apprentice.Georgi was initiated December 13, but had to postpone his masonic studies in favor of continued training for his big MMA fight in Tokyo on New Years Eve.Georgi handily beat Hiroyuki Takaya in a 3 round split decision.Georgi has been involved in Bellator and Tachi Palace as a professional MMA prizefighter since 2006. All of us here at the lodge are very proud of him and hope that this win is a stepping stone in his career and will allow us to celebrate future successes with this personable and friendly…
