Flags For Every Hero

It has been Helen G. McCallum's privilege to post flags at Riverside National Cemetery on Memorial Day and Veterans Day.  The girls and adults have for the last 6 years, except 2020, gathered with their community and other organizations to show their respect.  Flags are posted with care on every marker and remain over the Holiday.  It is a breathtaking site to see the grounds with flags waving and honor shown to those who have so proudly served our Country and the families that have supported them.  We invite you to join us.  The International Order of the Rainbow for Girls is a non-profit service organization for girls between the ages of 11 and 20. Rev. W. Mark Sexson founded our order in McAlester, Oklahoma in April of 1922. He sought to develop an organization where young women could build self confidence and leadership skills, all while serving their community. The organization promotes community service, as well as love and service to their schools, their homes and to each other. Our order prepares the girls of today to be the leaders of tomorrow.
