Evergreen Lodge 259 Sweethearts Night

  Evergreen Lodge, in Riverside, hosted a dinner and Big Band entertainment for our sweethearts. Our special guests were 12 of our lodge widows who were presented roses. Approximately 50 attended the dinner prepared by Lynnette Channon consisting of rolls; chuck roast, fresh mashed potatoes, peas, gravy, and cheesecake. Chuck Scalf chaired the committee with Vic Ropac, John Channon, and Greg Covel assisting. Keith Downs helped the committee set the tables and serve along with our Jobs Daughters, Bethel 264. Jeremiah Bayer-Smith headed up the dishwashing. An all-day prep culminated in an excellent meal followed by an hour of great music in the lodge…

          The  Riverside Area Scottish Rite  Club  had their  annual  installation of officers  and  dinner  at  Flo's  restaurant on  Saturday,  Feb. 9, 2013.      Mel Tallon was the installing officer .  The  new officers  are : Lee Whelan,  President ;  Robert Gibb, Vice President ;   John Channon,  Secty/Treas;   and  Directors  Jim Mason, Rick Emmons  and  Jim  Scribner  were  present  to be installed. Riverside Lodge Presents 50 Year Pin To Brother James Stocks

Brother  James  Stocks  received  his  Golden Veteran (50 yr) Award  at  Riverside Lodge on Feb. 7,2013 .  His wife, Rosie had the honor of  pinning him.   Inspector, John Channon , officiated the ceremony with W.M. Steve Morrison and  Wor. Lee Cleveland  assisting. The  new, long-form,  ceremony was used  for the program which was  very appreciated by the  recipient, his wife , and the brethren and  families  present. Congratulations to Georgi Karakhanyan, Riverside Lodge No. 635’s newest Entered Apprentice.Georgi was initiated December 13, but had to postpone his masonic studies in favor of continued training for his big MMA fight in Tokyo on New Years Eve.Georgi handily beat Hiroyuki Takaya in a 3 round split decision.Georgi has been involved in Bellator and Tachi Palace as a professional MMA prizefighter since 2006.   The First Annual Gingerbread contest by Job's Daughters Bethel No. 264 of Evergreen Lodge was held on December 5, 2012. Each table had a great gingerbread house to decorate (provided by Pete Servantes a member of Evergreen Lodge).With theme's like: What were you thinking? Country Christmas, Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Most Jobs, Most decorated, etc; everyone had a great time decorating their house. W. Past Masters’ Night Program Draws Entire District for 3rd Degree

  The largest assembly of Past Masters in the 822nd district resulted in a fine evening on November 14. The event  held  at  Evergreen Lodge began with a  salad ,steak , baked potato, masonic beans, and a homemade dessert  all  prepared  by  Lynnette Channon and  Greg Covel.  Evergreen officers opened lodge earlier. There  were 41 Masons  in attendance  with  21 being  Past Masters from  4 Lodges:   Evergreen,  Riverside, Temescal/Palms, and  Moreno Valley as  well as one from Scotland and one from Nevada who are now affiliated with  Lodges in  our  district.
