Evergreen Lodge, Ungava Chapter OES, and Amaranth joined together to host a New Year's Eve dinner party held at Evergreen Masonic Center . Appetizers, a steak dinner or Chicken Cordon Bleu , salad, rolls, vege, a chocolate fountain and sherbet filled the bellies. A satellite tv feed and DJ music provided the entertainment. Almost 60 people participated. The evening culminated in an apple cider toast . Thanks to the team that planned and executed this event. John Channon

Nov. 16, 2015 was the Installation of the Ungava Chapter , Order of Eastern Star, officers. The event was preceded with a chicken/ pineapple dinner served by the Jobs Daughters of Bethel 264. At least 80 attended. Numerous Grand and Past Grand Officers assisted in the installation. The flag was presented by members of the USAF. Of course, after the formalities, more food, consisting of a fruit and candy bar. John Channon

Star of the Valley Annual Installation of Officers Start of the Valley Chapter #648 celebrated their annual Installation of Officers with a standing room only Chapter room. The eveing was filled with wonderful memories and fellowship with old and new members. They look forward to and exciting year.

We are one of the largest fraternal organizations that both men and women can belong. Membership eligibility is the same for the Grand Chapters and Subordinate Chapters that are affiliated with the General Grand Chapter, OES. Depending on where you live, the contact person varies.

W.M. Cara Sung and W.P. Slade Smiley made presentations after a catered spaghetti dinner on August 6 honoring three recipients: Don Young, Lynnette Channon and Kelly Padilla. Over 55 people attended coming from various chapters. All three recipients were heralded for going “above-and-beyond” in their service to the family of freemasonry and their community. Don Young (a 3x Past Master) received a service award for being chairman of Ungava’s Board of Trustees, his work with the Collier reading program, volunteer teacher’s aid for 14 years, and his support of the programs at Scottish Rite and Shrine hospitals.
