Orange County Masonic Officers Association Reception for the Grand Master
On Sunday, March 4, 2012 at 12:00 Noon, the Orange County Masonic Officers Association presented their 10th Annual Orange County Reception for the Grand Master of Masons in California. This year they combined their reception with a fundraiser for the Grand Master’s project, “Raising A Reader”. Many of those in attendance traveled their directly from the L.A. Service Bureau’s Breakfast in Los Angeles to the reception at the DeMolay Center in Anaheim. The Los Angeles Masonic Service Bureau had their annual breakfast at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport Hotel on March 4, 2012. The Masonic Service Bureau was formed for the primary purpose of properly relieving the distress of Masons, who are members of Lodges in other areas of the State or members of Lodges in others states, that may need assistant while residing or visiting in the area of the Service Bureau. Evergreen Lodge Sponsors Elementary School
Evergreen Lodge had the opportunity to visit Pachappa Elementary School’s Open House on March 1st. The purpose of their visit was to present to the school a myriad of items and supplies. Among the items donated were; pencils, markers, pens, crayons, white boards, white board markers, and organizers desperately in short supply in this time of fiscal need. Past master Drew Gilkey made a presentation retailing for about $10,000 on behalf of Evergreen Lodge and gave a short history regarding Masonry and its support of education over the years. In Memory of Michael D. Musgrove
Worshipful Frank Lee & I along with hundreds of others attended the Service for Worshipful "Dad" Mike Musgrove at the Covina Christian Church. The heartfelt Eulogy was given by Worshipful Brethren Mark Sandstrom & Raymond Davies. There was a DeMolay and Masonic Service for Worshipful Mike who gave so much to our Masonic Family. Worshipful Sandstrom had mentioned that if everyone in attendance told a story about an experience they had with Dad Musgrove that we would be there for a month. He was right. Chino Valley Reads Across America
On February 29th six officers of our Lodge, and our Division’s Assistant Grand Lecturer, Frank Lee, participated in the program "Reading Across America", at Edwin Rhodes Elementary School in Chino. Those from Chino Valley Lodge were, Master-Manny Blanco, PM, Jr Warden-John Cover Spear, PM, Secretary-Phillip Stekel, Sr Deacon-Jim Duran and Sr. Steward-Stanley Briones. What a very proud and important day this was for our Lodge. We were very excited to participate in this important community event. Golden Veteran Award – Fred Davis
Frederick Davis, of Riverside, received his 50 yr membership recognition in Masonry at a ceremony held March 1 at Riverside Lodge. Brother Davis was raised in Riverside and spent most of his life here. He served in the Acacia team at Riverside Lodge #635 for almost 20 years. His pin and certificate were presented by Inspector, John Channon and Master, Lee Whelan. A special version of the ceremony incorporating a journey from entering the lodge to the altar was particularly appreciated by the honoree and those who attended. John Channon

Chino Valley Lodge Reads Across America.
February 29, 2012 Brethren of Chino Valley Lodge today as part of a “Reading Across America” campaign to interest and promote reading to elementary school students visited Edwin Rhodes Elementary School. Edwin Rhodes was the founder of Chino Valley Lodge. On Friday, February 24, 2011, Temescal Palms Lodge was honored to have the Most Worshipful Frank Loui, the Grand Master of Masons in California, participate in the conferral of the first degree of our new Brother Martin Durbin. D8 Report on Temescal Palms 1st Degree with the Grand Master
D8-Reports Brother Martin Durbin took his first steps in Masonry on Friday February 24th at Temescal Palms Lodge #314. As Brother Durbin was taking his first steps, Temescal Palms Lodge and Division 8 were taking there first as well. Our Grand Master, Most Worshipful Frank Loui served as the Senior Deacon for the evening.
